General Camp

For Girls and Boys Ages 5-15
The foundation of the Summer Fenn experience

Our General Camp program provides campers ages 5-15 with the opportunity to experience a variety of active, creative and fun activities under the guidance of our talented staff.  It allows campers to build self confidence, create lasting friendships, make their own choices and try new activities in a safe and supportive environment.

General Camp counselors lead campers through a well-balanced and diverse schedule that includes Red Cross Swim Lessons, Adventure, Arts & Crafts, Nature and Sports & Games, getting to know their campers individually and as a group.  They assist campers in all program areas, ensuring that each camper has a positive experience along the way.  Experienced Activity Specialists join groups to lead our program areas, engaging campers with thoughtful, age-appropriate activities and projects and allowing each camper to be successful and participate at a comfortable level.

General Camp is offered all eight weeks of Summer Fenn in either one- or two-week sessions.  The schedule and activities change weekly to encourage campers to join us for multiple weeks.  Campers are placed in co-ed groups based on their age and the grade they will be entering the following fall.  All General Campers participate in our Elective Program and in Friday Special Events.

Age-appropriate activities
Campers are placed in coed groups based on their age and the grade they will be entering the following fall. Younger children follow a pre-established, well-rounded program. Middle and Upper Campers have more opportunities to choose their own activities.

Senior Camp is available for our oldest General Campers. Senior Campers will follow a one- or two-week schedule that includes more advanced challenges and activities, choice blocks, and an outstanding staff.

Campers experience a variety of activities designed to meet the needs of each age group (arts and crafts, adventure, sports and games, music and drama, special events, and afternoon electives) All programs are supervised by Activity Specialists with the assistance of General Camp counselors. Instructional and recreational swimming is offered daily for all General Camp age groups. Senior Campers may participate in the American Red Cross Guard Start or Fitness Training program.

Our afternoon Electives Program offers all general campers the opportunity to spend time participating in activities they like most.

Available for all 8 weeks of Summer Fenn, you can sign up for one- or two-week General Camp sessions, and for any week 1-8 to best suit your schedule. For example, you can sign up for weeks 1, 2 and 7.
