Meet Amy Jolly, Director of Admission at Fenn since 2008. She is the mom of Adam ’12, a freshman at Colorado College; Madison, a freshman at Johnson & Wales University; and Phoebe, a seventh grader at Carlisle Public School.

Q: What drew you to Fenn?

A: I had a boy who needed a school and Fenn was a school that needed an admission director. I had previously worked in all-girls and coed schools and was intrigued by the opportunity to be at an all boys’ school. I live in bucolic Carlisle so the location helped as well!

Q: What do you enjoy most about working at Fenn?

A: The opportunity to change the educational trajectory of wonderful young men.

Q: Do you also participate on a committee or school-wide effort, and if so, why is this work so important to you?

A: I serve on the Fenn Diversity Institute and on the Board of Trustees subcommittee on Diversity, Enrollment, and Financial Aid. I value these forums as the crux of my work is to build the kind of enrollment and community that create a best-in-class educational environment.

Q: What do you hope boys will come away with after working with you in the admission office?

A: I care about each boy and family that comes through my office and it is my sincerest intention and motivation to get to know each one well.

Q: What are your passions and interests outside of Fenn?

A: I serve on the Concord-Carlisle Scholarship Fund, which fundraises and stewards investments. We grant more than a hundred need-based college scholarships annually to local students. I passionately believe the best way to guarantee a peaceful and prosperous future is to ensure the education of our youth. The foundation of our fragile democracy is based on the premise of an educated electorate so helping that to happen is my definition of patriotism.
