SECONDARY SCHOOL PLACEMENT FORMS 2010

Families of boys who are applying to independent schools for the fall of 2011 need to send the following forms to Lauri Wishner by December 10, if you haven’t already done so:

1. Fenn Release of Records form. This form must be signed by both parent and student. We are unable to process secondary school applications and teacher recommendations without this form. Additional forms are available in the front office, or on the website (after you log in to My Fenn, look for the form under ‘downloads’ or ‘more downloads’).

2. School Report Form from each of the schools to which you are applying.

Please remember to put your son’s name (and address, if indicated) on each school’s form and sign it, if required.

3. The school’s Transcript Release Form (not all schools use this form). Put your son’s name on the form and sign it, if the school has included one.

Please DO NOT send the individual recommendation forms for English, Mathematics, or Foreign Language; we access these forms online. DO NOT send the school’s envelopes (we use Fenn envelopes when we mail the packets) or stamps.

Any Fenn family whose son is considering applying to other independent schools for next year – and who has NOT YET notified Nat Carr (9th grade and Middle School) or Gisela Hernandez-Skayne (8th grade) – needs to do so immediately. Teachers are writing recommendations for secondary schools between now and the December holidays. Families who have already spoken with Nat or Gisela do NOT need to respond to this message.

If you have any questions about forms, please call Lauri Wishner at 978-318-3616. Thanks!

TIME TO SPARE WHILE YOUR SON IS TAKING THE SSAT THIS SATURDAY?
Please stop by the Concord Bookshop starting at 9:30 a.m. for the annual Books for Boys event.  Start your holiday shopping early, donate a book to your favorite Fenn teacher, or honor your child's birthday with a book donated to the Fenn library.  A portion of all sales benefits the Fenn Parents' Association so that we may offer enriching assembly programs to our boys.
EMERSON UMBRELLA WINTER MARKET
