Campaign Manager

 

Summary

The Campaign Manager will assist the Director of Advancement and Director of Advancement Services with the planning and execution of key activities related to Fenn’s campaign. The Campaign Manager will also manage a personal portfolio of 50 major and planned gift prospects. He/She will work closely with the advancement team and campaign volunteers to determine effective strategies to engage a larger pool of identified potential donors. In order to be successful, s/he will travel regularly to meet and cultivate relationships with alumni, current and former parents of Fenn in Boston and across the country.

 

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the campaign calendar and serve as the day-to-day point person for major deadlines and deliverables related to the campaign.
  • Conduct research on major gift donors and create comprehensive profiles and briefing memos for executive and volunteer leadership.
  • Maintain an effective communication system to ensure all campaign activities are on track and well-coordinated, including facilitating and preparing materials for regular campaign update meetings with the executive leadership, key volunteers and campaign counsel.
  • Assist in tracking and monitoring the progress of all cultivation and solicitation efforts in Fenn’s donor database.
  • Handle the logistics for all volunteer campaign meetings, including mailing meeting notices and materials, and preparing agendas, follow-up correspondence and status reports.
  • Help to plan and manage logistics for campaign cultivation events and activities.
  • Help to plan and manage logistics for all donor visits made by executive and volunteer leadership, including scheduling appointments, coordinating travel plans, preparing meeting materials and facilitating post-visit follow up.
  • Coordinate the production of campaign collateral and communications.
  • Create and implement a stewardship program for all campaign donors.
  • Manage a portfolio of around 50 major and planned giving prospects.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Annual and Leadership Giving to analyze annual gift returns for potential prospects to cultivate for major and deferred gifts.
  • Develop increasing levels of involvement and support among donors, prospects and contacts with personal targets.
  • Act as an Ambassador of Fenn with responsibility for helping to cultivate and steward donor relationships.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Minimum of three years of professional fundraising experience

Strong interest in the mission and vision of The Fenn School

A self-starter with strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Ability to work closely with executive leadership and a committed and engaged group of volunteer solicitors

Articulate, with strong written communications and presentation skills

Experience with prospect/donor management fundraising software applications

Ability to travel as needed and attend evening and weekend events
