 | Independent of a boy’s particular passions or skills beyond the classroom, each one is expected to engage in the full complement of a Fenn education and approach with an open, curious mind the many opportunities available to him. In that pursuit, he will be met by a caring faculty committed to empowering him to be his best self. In turn, each boy will develop a personal confidence and desire to be a lifelong learner and a leader with integrity.

Opportunities for learning and growth beyond the classroom abound at Fenn. Each boy participates in our rich arts program and our comprehensive athletic program. Students develop their confidence and test their skill as performers, competitors, and emerging leaders in a nurturing community which embraces the ideals of honesty, respect, empathy, and courage. Alumni from across the years often remark how their enjoyment of arts and athletics and their understanding of ethical leadership and the power of discovery were first established at Fenn and remain ingrained with them today.
A broad education is integral to developing active learners and empathetic leaders. Fenn is dedicated to offering a program with substantial breadth and depth to boys in the elementary and middle school years by providing essential learning experiences beyond the classroom. In the arts studio, on the athletic field, and in All School Meeting, educators seize the opportunity to reinforce valuable lessons and emphasize the importance of accepting responsibility for oneself. Programs and experiences beyond the classroom are extensions of the actual classroom at Fenn, contributing to the universal mission of effectively preparing boys for a lifetime of learning, leadership, and integrity.
