The following are the steps to apply:
Schedule a Tour
A campus tour is the first step in your application process. It takes about an hour and allows you and your son to see Fenn on a typical school day. It is not necessary to have completed an application prior to touring. Tours are offered weekday mornings at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:15 and are by appointment only. To schedule a tour of campus, call Marilyn Schmalenberger at 978-318-3606 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
File an Application
We ask that you submit your son's application prior to his interview. If you have any questions about the application please contact Amy Jolly, Director of Admissions and Financial Aid.

Schedule an Interview
After your tour of campus, you'll want to schedule your sons interview and start filling out an application form. Interviews generally take about 45 minutes and consist of general conversation and a brief academic assessment. We also ask that you submit your sons application prior to the interview. To schedule your interview call Marilyn Schmalenberger at 978-318-3606 or email her at email@example.com
Schedule Admissions Testing
Fenn requires ONE of three standardized test options:
(Secondary School Admission Test). Fenn’s code is 3136. The test is offered on several dates at many locations. For more information about registering, vist SSAT.org
(Independent SchoolEntrance Exam). For more information about ISEE and to register visit erblearn.org
WISC (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children). This exam is typically offered at child psychologists’ offices and generally costs between $250 and $500. If your child has had a WISC test within two year of applying to Fenn, it is possible to use this testing to satisfy the admissions testing requirement.
Contact Amy Jolly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any concerns about testing or to request one of a limited number of SSAT fee waivers
Transcripts and Teacher Recommendations
All applicants are asked to submit a transcript from their current school.
Click here to download and sign the Transcript Release
form to send to your son’s current school registrar or principal.
Ask a family friend, coach, or other trusted adult in your son’s life to write a brief personal recommendation. Personal recommendations should be sent directly to the Admission Office.
Your application and additional documentation must be received by January 31st, 2014. We do not require all materials to be completed in order for you to schedule an interview, but as many materials as can be submitted before your interview is helpful for our staff.
Families may chose to have the WISC performed by any qualified practitioner. For your convenience, we have provided a list of local psychologists that provide this service at a reasonable rate. However, test fees can vary significantly so it is important that you inquire with more than one provider. More importantly, Fenn does not want the cost of the WISC to prevent any student from applying. Should the price of the WISC act as a barrier to your application, please contact Amy Jolly.
