Associate Director of Admission (Marketing and Communications)

Seeking an Associate Director of Admissions with a primary focus on the strategic design and execution of targeted admission marketing and outreach initiatives designed to achieve key enrollment objectives.

Fenn seeks a strategic and results-driven professional to join our team as an Associate Director of Admission. In this full-time, 12-month role, you will serve as a vital ambassador for the school, guiding prospective students and families through the enrollment journey.
The primary focus of this position is the strategic design and execution of targeted admission marketing and outreach initiatives designed to achieve key enrollment objectives. You will lead the creation of compelling content and communications that drive campus engagement, increase inquiries, and increase the application pipeline. Additionally, the person in this position will be responsible for ensuring that all on-campus event logistics are seamlessly managed and executed. The ideal candidate is a proactive, data-informed communicator with a proven ability to balance high-level strategy with day-to-day tactical execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategic Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Drive Marketing Strategy: Lead the design and execution of multi-channel marketing initiatives across the entire admissions funnel to attract and convert prospective families.
     
  • Content Creation & Storytelling: In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Office, develop compelling print, digital, and social media content that articulates the "Fenn Value" and ensures a seamless onboarding experience for new families.
     
  • Digital Presence Management: Maximize the school’s visibility by optimizing profiles on Niche and other search platforms, ensuring Fenn remains a top-of-mind choice for searching parents.
     
  • Website & SEO Optimization: Audit and refine website content to improve the prospective family user journey, partnering with the Marketing and Communications team on SEO, PPC, and targeted digital campaigns.
     
  • Data-Driven Insights: Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to evaluate campaign ROI and provide actionable reports on the effectiveness of marketing strategies


Systems & Operations Management

  • CRM Oversight: Manage HubSpot and Ravenna to track the prospect pipeline, maintain data integrity, and measure the success of outreach efforts.
     

Admissions & Community Engagement

  • Community Partnership: Build professional relationships with community partners and represent the school at local recruitment fairs and events.
     
  • Event Support: Lead the planning and execution of high-impact communications for on- and off-campus admission events.
     
  • Mission Ambassador: Represent Fenn’s mission through engaging campus tours, student interviews, and personalized family outreach with attention to assigned territories.
     
  • Candidate Evaluation: Actively participate in the Admission Committee by reviewing applicant files and providing thoughtful recommendations on candidate fit.
     

School Stewardship

  • Full Campus Involvement: Contribute to the broader Fenn community through attendance at campus-wide events and potential roles in teaching or coaching.
     
  • Departmental Support: Execute additional duties as assigned by the Director of Admission and Financial Aid.Planning and teaching four English courses across grades six through eight


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required, with 5-7 years of experience in admissions, marketing, communications, or sales is highly valued.
     
  • Mission Alignment: Deep enthusiasm for working within an all-boys day school environment serving grades 4–9, coupled with a strong alignment to Fenn’s core values, mission, and philosophy.
     
  • Strategic Track Record: Proven success in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive results.
     
  • Data & Technology Fluency: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to leverage CRM systems, metrics, and data analytics to inform strategic decisions.
     
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate Fenn’s mission authentically to diverse audiences and to respond to families and other community members in a timely manner.
     
  • Project Management & Agility: Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
     
  • Interpersonal Skills: High emotional intelligence, a growth mindset, a collaborative style, and authentic empathy for prospective families navigating the complexities of the admission process.
     
  • Flexibility: Ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends for recruitment events.
     
  • Physical Activity: Ability to physically navigate the campus multiple times daily to lead tours and engage with the community.
     
  • Additional Responsibilities: Flexibility to take on additional duties as assigned by the Director of Admission and Financial Aid.
