Distinguished Alumnus Award
The Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes a Fenn alumnus who has made outstanding contributions to his field and those around him and who additionally embodies Fenn's core values of Honesty, Respect, Empathy, and Courage, and its motto Sua Sponte. 
 

Tony Howland ’68 received recognition as Fenn's 2023 Distinguished Alumnus.

Weston "Tony" Howland '68 serves as the Chairman and CEO of Howland Capital, an independent wealth management firm helping individuals and families manage their financial affairs to achieve their long-term goals.

Tony utilizes his expertise in finance to serve various nonprofit boards. He is chairman of the boards of Social Innovation Forum, which helps connect funder and nonprofits focused on social impact in Eastern Massachusetts, and of the Devonshire Foundation, which supports ready-for-growth programs addressing social and environmental issues. He also serves as a board member of Youth Connect, a network of nonprofit organizations that work together to improve education, employment, and healthy behavior outcomes of low-income, at-risk youth aged 14-24.

Finally, as a former trustee of The Fenn School and Dana Hall School, and past chairman of the Meadowbrook School, Tony embodies a commitment to independent school education. We are proud that he is a Fenn alum and were absolutely delighted to present him with the School's 2023 Distinguished Alumnus Award.

The Rising Alumnus Award honors a graduate leading up to and including their 25th Reunion who has demonstrated achievement in either his professional field or through his contributions to society. This award also recognizes an alumnus who embodies Fenn's core values of Honesty, Respect, Empathy and Courage, as well as its motto Sua Sponte.
