Michael Denault '96 Equips Emerson with Face Shields
Maker's Workshop in Maynard, owned by Michael Denault '96, serves as a communal space for builders to put creativity and education together to produce amazing things. Recently, Michael and a team of volunteers used their 3-D printers and donated materials to construct protective shields for workers battling COVID-19 at both Emerson Hospital and St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester. Virtual All School Meeting - May 11

The All School Meeting that was held on Monday, May 11th, was a great example of the collaboration and community that is being fostered through our All School Meeting videos. Fenn is overjoyed to share a sample of the change to an All School Meeting held during this period of distance learning for the community. Distance learning has created plenty of challenges for students and teachers alike. However, Fenn has also provided a plethora of opportunities to stay creative and have fun! Ryan Miklusak, mathematics teacher, coach and Upper School advisor, joined his advisory group to help a friend in need during some hard times. Steve Carell '77 Thanks Emerson Workers

Many of you may be aware that Steve Carell (a.k.a Michael Scott in The Office) once roamed the hallways of Fenn's School House and performed in Robb Hall. Steve spent his childhood growing up in Acton, MA and was born at Emerson Hospital, where his mother worked as a nurse for decades. He dedicated some time to say thanks to the staff at Emerson who are fighting against COVID-19. Watch Steve's video here.

Ian Moore '17 Prepares for NHL Draft

Fenn alum Ian Moore '17 was recently featured in a Boston Globe article detailing how COVID-19 has impacted his training and how he is now preparing off the ice for the upcoming NHL draft. Ian was a standout at Fenn and finished as a star for the St. Mark's hockey team. Ian has committed to play collegiate hockey at Harvard University, starting in 2021. Congratulations to Ian on a remarkable journey so far. Fenn wishes him luck as he takes his talents to college and the pros! Read more about his potential future in the NHL.
