On Saturday, May 17, Fenn sent their Varsity Baseball, Varsity Lacrosse, and Varsity Tennis teams to Fessenden School in Newton, MA for three New England Junior School Tournaments. Baseball claimed a championship game win over Fessenden, 10-3, to take home the title. Varsity Lacrosse battled and finished 3rd in their tournament, while Varsity Tennis accumulated enough points throughout the tournament to finish with a 3rd place team finish.

Fenn's baseball team had been on a hot streak heading into the tournament thanks to stellar pitching from ninth graders Vinny Hogan, Marco Racanelli, and Chris Childs. That theme continued as all three were dominant for the blue and gold in their two games played. Fenn advanced to the championship game with a shutout win over Fay, 3-0.

In the Championship Game, Childs and Racanelli were strong on the mound, totaling 11 strikeouts between the two of them. In the first game, it was Hogan's arm that was the difference. In their second game, it was his bat. Hogan went 3-for-4 with a home run and six runs batted in.

"This is a close-knit group of boys," said Coach Ryan Miklusak. "The seniors played a pivotal role in our team's success with key contributions from our young guys."

Varsity Lacrosse battled in a few close games during their tournament. After an opening round win over Fay, and falling to Indian Mountain School 3-0 in their second game, they faced off against host Fessenden in a tightly contested battle. Fenn fell 7-6 as Fessenden was able to hold off the Fenn offense just enough.

This meant the team would have a rematch against Fay in the 3rd Place game where Fenn's defense shined and led to a number of chances the other way. With their solid play, they took home the 3rd Place finish with a 4-3 win. Eighth grader Tye Reesey was named the Offensive MVP of the tournament with the most goals scored.

Varsity Tennis brought five members of their team to the Fessenden Singles Tournament, all of them eighth graders. They were Andrew Fugh, Nathan Xu, Jack Adams, Austin Fischl, and Wyatt Harrington. The tournament included seven total teams (Fenn, Fessenden, Fay, Rectory, Belmont Hill, Roxbury Latin, and Eaglebrook). Fenn was one of two teams to have 4 boys win their first round match, and the only team to have three boys move onto the quarterfinals (Fugh, Adams, Fischl).

Jack Adams then went onto the semifinals after a 6-3 win in the quarters. He would face Fay's #1 Singles player and the #3 overall seed in the tournament. After dropping behind 2-5, Adams battled back to take a 6-5 lead before the match went to a tiebreak at 6-6. In the end, Adams fell 6-7 (4-7) but fought until the very end. His run to the semifinals helped the team earn a 3rd place finish overall.

"All of the boys played with pride and passion throughout the tournament," said Coach Dominic Dipersia. "We couldn't be more proud of their effort and sportsmanship they showed today."
