Faculty Endowment Funds
Argosy Foundation Fund for Faculty Salaries
Established in 2003 by The Argosy Foundation, at the suggestion of alumni brothers, as a challenge to the School community. Income from this fund helps support salaries for the School's teachers, Fenn's most valuable asset.
Boys at the Heart Teacher Salary Fund
Established in 2005 as part of the Boys at the Heart campaign, income from this fund supports Fenn's greatest single budgetary expense--faculty salaries and benefits. The fund helps Fenn attract and retain inspiring teachers who understand boys.
Corder-Gilliland Fund
Established in January 1981 by Dr. and Mrs. J. Philip Kistler, parents of Philip C. W. Kistler ’82 and David W. Kistler ’83. This fund was created as part of the Foundation for Fenn’s Future campaign, chaired by Wendy Kistler. Income generated by the fund supports the development and enrichment of Fenn’s faculty through grants for “summer sabbaticals.”
Endowed Fund for Fenn Faculty & Staff Children
Established in May 2009 by an anonymous Fenn family. This fund supports the sons of Fenn’s faculty and staff enrolled under the tuition remission and financial aid programs who require additional funding for tutoring and other school programs, such as instrumental music instruction, band, language trips, and hockey.
Faculty Professional Development Endowment Fund
Established in 2018, income from this fund allows Fenn teachers to pursue new skills, to stay current on the latest developments in their fields, and to advance their understanding of how boys learn.
Founders' Fund for Educational Innovation
Established in 2005 by members of Roger and Eleanor Fenn’s family. Income from this fund is used to enhance Fenn’s academic life through both professional development opportunities for the faculty and whole-school programs, thus ensuring the continued evolution of Fenn’s innovative curriculum and the educational vision of its founders.
Susan M. Mayer Faculty Development Fund
Established in December 2012 through a bequest from Susan Mayer, former Fenn trustee and mother of David M. Slye '74 and Paul E. Slye '77. Income from this fund supports faculty professional development activities.
The John G. Mulvany Fund
Established in March 2006 in honor of John G. Mulvany (1939-1986), former Fenn trustee and chair of the Compensation Committee, by Lily Mulvany and her sons Jonathon P. Mulvany ’85, Taragh T. Mulvany ’87, and David M. Mulvany ’95. Income from the fund supports professional development for teachers, as they seek out the most meaningful learning opportunities for intellectual renewal, growth, and discovery.
