Fenn’s varsity lacrosse team carried its 4-1 record to Worcester Academy on Monday, April 29, hoping to get back on track after getting edged by Fay School on April 24. This game was a mismatch, as Fenn trounced Worcester Academy, 14-0. Ninth grader Andy Barton picked up a pair of goals to lead the offensive charge.
“It was a good team effort,” said coach Matt Ward. “We had good play from eighth grader Jack Moscow (one goal) and seventh grade goalkeeper Kal Lonergan, among others.”

Fenn’s scheduled game with Fessenden School on Friday, April 26, was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Wednesday, May 1, Noble & Greenough School 5, Fenn School 4
Fenn’s varsity baseball team surrendered two first inning runs and another run in the fourth to fall behind, 4-0, against visiting Noble & Greenough on Wednesday, May 1. Fenn picked up a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth and another in the bottom of the sixth, drawing to within one, but Nobles got two late runs in the seventh to put it away, 5-4.
The boys in blue-and-gold collected nine hits with Bobby Brady notching two of those hits. Ninth grader Conor MacLean pitched four innings and struck out four, while eighth grader John Kielar was on the mound for three innings and struck out two.
Fenn’s varsity baseball record is 2-3 at the midpoint of the season.

Fenn’s JV baseball team lost its home opener on Thursday, April 25, against Shore Country Day School by a 7-2 count.
Monday, April 29, Fenn School 11, Lexington Christian Academy 6
The boys in blue-and-gold got back on the road on Monday, April 29, and met Lexington Christian Academy. Fenn plated nine runs in the first inning, with four of the runs crossing the plate with two outs.
“We had a lot of excellent at-bats up and down the lineup,” said coach David Irwin. “And we had some nice defensive plays in the infield by Rory Kennealy and Dereck Then.”
Fenn received steady pitching from AliJah Clark and Rylan Chandler, who kept the LCA offense in check. Seventh grader Jack Flannely came in to record the final out.

Friday, April 26, Belmont Hill School, Fenn School rained out
Fenn’s varsity tennis team was scheduled to host Belmont Hill School on Friday, April 26, but the match was rained out. The two teams are scheduled to meet again on May 22 in the final match of the season.
Wednesday, May 1, Fessenden School 7, Fenn School 0
The athletes on Fenn’s varsity tennis team played some of their best tennis on Wednesday, May 1 against a powerhouse Fessenden team. Although Fenn lost all seven matches, many of the results were tightly contested. Highlights included the strong play of Matthew Nicholas at #4 Singles and a surprising comeback by eighth grader Nate Blunt, who fought back from 1-7 before falling 5-8.

Rain forced the cancellation of the JV tennis team’s scheduled visit to Worcester Academy on Friday, April 26. Only three games remain on the JV schedule. Fenn gets back in action on Wednesday, May 8 when it hosts Rivers School.

Persistent rain played havoc with the entire sports schedule on Friday, April 26, and Fenn’s scheduled track meet against Fessenden School, Shady Hill School, and the Learning Center was not an exception!
Monday, April 29, Fenn defeated Carroll School
Fenn’s track team defeated Carroll School in Lincoln on Monday, April 29. First places finishers for Fenn included Aidan O’Connell in the 400, Peter Favero in the mile and the 800, and Edoardo Takacs in the 50. Colby Bloch took top honors in the turbo javelin and Rain Yang placed first in the long jump.
Wednesday, May 1, Fenn defeated Belmont Day School
The boys in blue-and-gold continued their winning ways on the track on Wednesday, May 1 at Belmont Day School. Edoardo Takas finished in first place in the 50 and the 200, while Aidan O’Connell led the pack in the 400. Edoardo Takas, Fru Nkimbeng, Liam Mulcahy, and Aidan O’Connell also took top honors in the relay. No field event competitions were held at this meet.
