VARSITY BASKETBALL
Thursday, January 30, Fenn School 31, Fay School 63
Fenn’s varsity basketball team teetered at the .500 mark as it headed into its contest on Thursday, January 30 at Fay School. Fenn never found its feet in Southborough, falling behind 26-10 at the half. William O’Malley was high man for Fenn with seven points. The 63-31 loss drops Fenn’s record to 3-4 at the midpoint of this season.
Fenn hosts the annual Fenn Varsity Basketball Tournament on Saturday. Come on out to cheer on the blue-and-gold!

JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL
Thursday, January 30, Fenn School 42, Shady Hill School 48
Fenn’s JV basketball team was trying to put the brakes on a three-game losing skid as it headed into its game on Thursday, January 30 at Shady Hill School in Cambridge. Despite a stellar effort, Fenn was defeated by Shady Hill, 48-42. Will Hickey was Fenn’s high scorer with 14 points, while Luke Waldeck contributed 10.

THIRDS BASKETBALL
Friday, January 31, Fenn Thirds White 33, Fay School 41
The Thirds White team traveled to Southborough on Friday, January 31 to take on Fay School. This was a close game at the start. At halftime, these two teams were within just one point, but the final scoreboard showed a wider divide, as Fenn finished on the short end of a 41-33 count. John Donovan and Nathaniel Pynchon each contributed 12 points.
Wednesday, February 5, Belmont Day School 22, Fenn Thirds Gold 27
Fenn’s Thirds Gold team got by visiting Belmont Day School on Wednesday, February 5. Hudson Wesel led the way for the blue-and-gold with 11 points, as Fenn claimed the 27-22 victory.

Fenn’s varsity hockey team spent the week in practice mode, prepping for its Friday, February 7 game against Belmont Hill School. While Fenn has averaged 7.5 goals per game this season, Belmont Hill also lights it up, averaging 5.4 goals per game. This one should be a good contest, as Fenn is undefeated at 5-0, while Belmont Hill is 9-2-1.

JUNIOR VARSITY HOCKEY
Friday, January 31, Carroll School 1, Fenn School 6
Fenn’s JV hockey team picked up its first win of the season when the team hosted Carroll School on Friday, January 31. After spotting Carroll a 1-0 advantage, Fenn flushed out six unanswered goals. Sam Kahn knotted the game at 1-1 on the very next shift after Carroll’s lone goal. With four minutes remaining in the first period, forward Chad Bartlett put Fenn ahead, 2-1. The second and third periods showcased Fenn’s tremendous teamwork, putting constant pressure on Carroll’s goalie. Bartlett picked up his second of the game, while Fenn also got goals from Jamie Book, Oliver Ali, and Harry Lavoie. Meanwhile, goalies John Regan and Gunnar Lyons kept Carroll off the scoreboard. Coach Jason Rude reported that Fenn also received solid defense from Chris Mariani, Ethan Rich, Sam Griswold, and Caleb Fehm. The 6-1 victory lifts the JV record to 1-1-1.
