After School Programs
Extended Day
The Extended Day Program at Fenn aims to accommodate families’ work schedules and commitments by offering supervision of students in grades 4-7 before and after the school day. Upper School students in grades eight and nine are exempt from attending Extended Day, as are Middle School students who are participating in Upper School sports. Coaches supervise these Fenn athletes.
Students may arrive on campus as early as 7:30 a.m. in advance of the advisory period that begins the school day at 8:15 a.m. Adult supervision is provided in designated campus locations that commonly include the gyms, Hammett Ory Library, and Stone Family Innovation Lab. There is no charge for before-school coverage.
Afternoon Extended Day begins at 3:45 p.m. (or 12:45 on half-day Tuesdays). Lower and Middle School students who remain on campus after 3:45 p.m. are required to check into Extended Day until their ride home arrives. At Extended Day, students tackle homework or read; play games or socialize with peers; or simply relax after a full Fenn school day.

After School Enrichment
During the school year, Fenn offers a diverse slate of After School Enrichment Courses for students in grades 4-7. Separate from the Fenn curriculum, the courses provide students with opportunities to enjoy activities that align with personal passions or that enable them to explore new interests.
Courses span 6-8 weeks on average, and the roster of offerings changes three times each school year. Advance registration for After School Enrichment Courses is required, as is payment for the activities.
Students may choose to dive into chess led by the Boston area's premiere youth chess coach, try their hand at coding and app development, hit the slopes with the Ski Club at Wachusett Mountain, or challenge themselves with archery or fencing. There is something for everyone across a school year!
A Commitment to Accessibility
Fenn is committed to making school-year enrichment programming accessible to more of our students. Families who receive financial assistance from Fenn are offered the same percentage discount for Extended Day and After School Enrichment Activities as is applied to their Fenn tuition.
Summer Fenn Day Camp
Fenn also offers a vibrant, all-gender summer program for children ages 4-15 years old. Summer Fenn is where you will find kids unplugged, active, and outdoors.
