Six Middle School Students Take Home SISAL Art Awards

We are very excited for six student artists who took home awards at the SISAL (Small Independent School Art League) Art Awards!

Fenn submitted 12 student pieces of art in a variety of mediums, and six were awarded ribbons, including Best in Show to Jonah Seliger-Schamberg '29 for his woodworking meditation bench (pictured in the middle). See below for more details about our winning student artists: 

  • Middle School Best of Show: Jonah Seliger-Schamberg, Grade 6
    • Woodworking: Live Edge Meditation Bench
  • Digital Art: Middle School 1st: Sam Chen, Grade 6
  • Ceramics Handbuilt: Middle School 2nd: Kevin Yu, Grade 7
  • Woodworking: Middle School 2nd: Ryder Reesey, Grade 7
  • Digital Art: Middle School Honorable Mention: Asher Bergman, Grade 7
  • Mixed Media: Middle School Honorable Mention: Henry Mountz, Grade 7

Students and families had the opportunity to attend an evening reception at The Rivers School on April 24. Along with the ribbons the students received, the boys will be presented with certificates designed by a Rivers student. Congratulations to Wood Shop teacher Paul Heinze for teaching and leading the SISAL Best in Show - Middle School winner for the second year in a row!
