W.W. Fenn Speaking Contest Crowns A Winner

Ward Hall was filled with energy and inspiration as Fenn hosted the finals of the historic W.W. Fenn Public Speaking Contest, showcasing the talents of 13 courageous Middle and Upper School students. Each finalist took the stage with confidence, delivering eloquent and impassioned speeches that highlighted both their skill and dedication to the craft of public speaking.

Sixth grader Henry Liu earned top honors for his powerful rendition of The Gettysburg Address by Abraham Lincoln, captivating the audience with poise and clarity. Eighth grader Trey Dunn and sixth grader Brandon Cohen received honorable mention for their compelling performances of The Scorpion by Roald Dahl and a passage from the Spanish Armada, respectively. All finalists demonstrated remarkable preparation and presence, making the event a true celebration of student voice and expression.

The School extends its gratitude to this year’s judges—Alex Wayman ’98, Christian Arcand ’97, and Tanya Wright—for their thoughtful evaluation and continued support of this longstanding Fenn tradition.
